Video Production: Technical Foundations

This course is organized as a project study. The course allows a student to acquire the practical and theoretical skills needed to create a video essay. The theoretical part of the course includes an introduction to different areas of media art: video art, computer and multimedia technology, the Internet. The practical part covers in detail the technical aspect of each of the above mentioned areas. For the realization of the project, a student may choose any method of creative expression.

Also, the course includes one on one work with a student and guidance in the realization of a personal project. During the course, a student is required to complete a video essay on a given topic. It is recommended to combine the course "Video production: basic techniques" with the course "Modern cinema / video process: script and the preparatory period."

The course is concluded with a final exam.
