Seminar
Subsequent Damages by the History of Philosophy
Presentation by Jörn Henrich (Technical University of Berlin, Germany) "Subsequent Damages by the History of Philosophy" in the framework of "Critique of the Social Sciences and Humanities" Seminar and "Human Rights" Seminar (58–60 Galernaya Street).
Disciplines teach their students certain intuitions. Looking at the history of philosophy one can see that during the evolution of philosophy the conception has changed what philosophy is, what it is about, which methods it employs and what purpose it has. The lecture demonstrates that during the segregation of scientific disciplines some aspects have been fixed as being philosophical, that are not a matter of course and have been different in history.
