Contemporary Dance and Performing Arts in France

Presentation by Anne-Karin Lescop (France) "Contemporary Dance and Performing Arts in France" in the framework of the "Discussions on Contemporary Art" Seminar (58-60 Galernaya Street).

Anne-Karine Lescop – is a dancer and choreographer, graduated from the CNDC in Angers (France). She has worked  with such notable choreographers as Odile Duboc (with this choreographer, she danced several shows including the remarkable Projet de la matière), Sylvain Prunenec, Loïc Touzé and others. Taking part in the creations of Hervé Robbes, Emmanuelle Huynh, Sylvain Prunenec and  Loïc Touzé, she developed at the same time her own body of work based on two main themes: the transmission to the young generation and the living conservation of a choreographic heritage. Between 2000 and 2003, she worked on a project consisting in recreating Dominique Bagouet's ballet Strange Days.
