The Cold War

International Relations, Political Science and Human Rights
6 credits
1st year of study
Spring semester

This course will explore the Cold War between the U. S. and Russia from its origins in the mid-1940s to its dramatic end in recent years. It will analyze how relations between these nations and their leaders affected perceptions of the other and consequent actions during the 45 years that the Cold War dominated American foreign policy. The course "Cold War" is fundamentally important for students who have chosen the program "International Relations, Political Science and Human Rights". Courses in the history of international relations are essential for all universities that contain a department of a corresponding profile. In fact, the history of the "cold war" is one of the most important directions of studying the dynamics of modern international relations.
