Reading. Listening. Comprehension and Writing
The course is oriented towards foreign students studying Russian at the intermediate level. Reading, listening skills, and writing skills and abilities are an integral component of communicative competence. As part of the course, work with written speech, aimed at developing and improving writing skills from a paragraph to a detailed essay, implies the development of skills, such as building a text in a given style, and selecting a register of written speech in accordance with the goals and objectives of the work. In the classroom, students will become acquainted with different types of texts, their main stylistic features, master a set of lexical units that allow them to express assessment, agreement / disagreement, and build argumentation. Work is carried out both independently (checking the understanding of a text, reflection, creating own texts) and in small groups based on interactive methods (seminar and discussion). An important component of the program is work on the ability to critically analyze texts and points of view coherently. The course uses authentic video materials, fiction and non-fiction texts that contribute to the formation of a positive attitude towards Russian culture and the development of students' linguo culturological competencies. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to independently familiarize themselves with various texts in Russian, carry out stylistic differentiation, obtain an idea of the main distinctive features of the construction of a Russian written text, and will be able to create their own texts.
