I came to the Faculty because of Pavel Gershenzon (it'd be more accurate to say "for the sake of"). I wanted to learn everything about ballet and a bit more—and I achieved this. In my courses I had Olga Manulkina, Mikhail Mishchenko, Vladimir Rannev, and I received an endless amount of knowledge about opera, music, performing arts, and organizing theatrical life, etc. I still can't digest all of this, but I'm not going to stop. I also received 9 friends (I had the best group in the world), an internship in New York at a real college (I'm no longer awaiting an owl from Hogwarts) and the Diaghilev Festival (Perm is now in our hearts).
You, too, can apply to the Musical Criticism Master's Program. Do not let the name of the program confuse you—it is not only about texts where they write that everything is bad. If music, opera, and ballet interests you in any combination, then don't think for a second.
My life has been changed forever—now it's your turn!
