It seems to me that enrolling in this program was one of the happiest turns in my life. It was only later, after studying at an American university, that I fully understood how unique the liberal arts educational model is for Russia.
I still associate my studies with an amazing atmosphere, respect and equality between teachers and students, when teachers infect students with their charisma and interest towards a subject and students want to pull their weight and meet expectations. My education is also associated with learning to think in general, to think broadly and make unobvious connections; with a respect for knowledge, cultural value and thinking outside the box; with a circle of like-minded people who operate with the same concepts and speak the same language. Belonging to this circle still makes me proud.
